Frequently Asked Questions for Training Partners
Exam Registration & Administration
Approved providers and training partners have flexible options for administering NCCB exams. You may register and pay per student directly through our website, or register an entire class or group by emailing registration@nccboard.org.
Group registration in three steps
Step 1 — Request exam vouchers. Email registration@nccboard.org with the total number of vouchers you need and the email address that should receive the invoice. While we do not offer bulk discounts, every bulk order includes complimentary Practice Exam access.
Step 2 — Receive and pay your invoice. Your invoice can be paid by credit card. To pay by ACH, simply request the details from our registration department. Payment by check requires prior approval, and access is granted only once the check has cleared — please plan accordingly.
Step 3 — Enroll your students. Once payment is received, send us the names and email addresses of your students. Each student is enrolled in the Exam Center with complimentary access to both the Practice Exams and the Certification Exam, and receives individual login credentials by email. Those credentials are sent only to the student. We recommend students confirm their login promptly to ensure everything is working.
Proctoring options
You decide how your exams are administered:
✅ In-person proctoring — let us know in advance that you do not want camera proctoring, and we'll provide a unique access code for each student for your proctor to enter at exam time.
✅ Camera proctoring (default) — if no preference is specified, students are automatically enrolled in the standard online proctored exam.
You set your own test sessions and requirements. Once students are enrolled, they can access their exam unless you specify otherwise.
Exam attempts and retakes
Each voucher covers one exam attempt. A score of 70% or higher is required to pass and earn certification. If a student does not pass, you may simply purchase another voucher — there are no discounts on retake fees. After purchasing a new voucher, please notify registration@nccboard.org before the student retakes the exam, as retake access must be manually cleared when the same email address is used.
